Right This Second by bookworm Mark Unseen   Jan 15 06:55 UTC 1999

I wish everything would stop
Just for a second.

If I had God's remote control,
I'd hit *pause* so fast
It would make everybody--
Quiet
Just for a second.

It's not that I don't want to move forward.
I want that more that anybody.

I just want to be able to taste the now,
Before being hustled to the next dish
And the next after that.

I want to be able to appreciate the dish I taste
Right this second.

So, stop the world for me, God.
I don't want to get off.
I want to enjoy everything
I have no time to enjoy
Right this second.

BTW, people. In the sentence, "I want that more that anybody"? The second
"that" is supposed to be "than". Just a little editorial sidenote.

Brilliant. Simply brillant. The topic isn't new-- it's been covered a few
times, but this is fresh.

I especially love "If I had God's remote control/I'd hit *pause* so fast" and
"..stop the world for me, God/I don't want get off/I want to enjoy
everything/I have no time to enjoy."

You have talent, my dear :)

Welcome to poetry, Henrik. You seem to be getting the hang of things okay.
