In troubled sleep, I dreamt of factious things:
Of mannequins and jests in circus rings,
And chevaliers with swords neath dragon's wings,
All show made for amusement of the king.
Upon the shrine lay roses for the queen,
A barb against the lord, the villain mean
To forward such an act, the shrine unclean:
For in that hallowed space no dame was seen.
I woke: no more these visions were to be,
A fantasy, in mockery of me --
What rebel wreaks such bold insurgency?
'Tis thou, my love: The love I have for thee.
Your feet not fettered down on solid ground,
Capriciously you flit and flutter round.

I love it!! I like trying to write this kind of stuff myself..it kinda
brings the child out in me..the old dreams of a fantasy land, being a
princess, etc...it's great...!!!
I urge you to write more!!
The thing about these poems that I like, is you can continue...which many
poets in the past have done, and before you know it, it's like a long story
or something....
