Lately I've taken up painting with oils Cause the words don't come anymore And the oil flows a little better anyway I can push and manipulate Or draw it in thin fading strokes and let its subelty make up for my lack Lately I've taken up painting with oils Cause the words just don't flow And the violence inherrant to the brush Doesn't strike such a sour chord to leave me brooding on yesterday wallowing in a past that I don't recall Lately I've taken up painting with oils

Usually, I don't like pieces of writing about writers' block, but this seems to work better than most: "painting with oils cause the words just don't flow" is a good image, and you've wroked it out well. I wasn't really satisfied by the ending, but maybe that's just me. Good to see you posting here again.
