Your Rights / PK

Your Rights to Life
You have the right to be playful.
If you give up that right, what you do can and will be held against you
in a court of life.
You have the right to color outside the lines.
You have the right to dance naked in your own home.
You have the right to sing along with the radio, even at the stoplight.
You have the right to ignore the people staring at you
for singing along with the radio.
You have the right to either be a Dom or a sub.
If you cannot afford a Dominatrix, the courts will appoint you one.
You have the right to go to a Disney movie,
even if you're over 18 and don't have any kids.
You have the right to eat the white stuff in an Oreo and
throw away the cookie parts.
You have the right to your own beliefs.
You have the right to be serious, somber, stoic, aloof, career-oriented,
and money-grubbing.
You have the right to make horns out of shaving cream and howl at the moon.
You have the right to change your mind.
You have the right to hallucinate.
If you give up that right, what you see will be treated as reality.
You have the right to act your age.
You have the right to say "Goddamn motherfucking shitkicking son of a bitch."
You have the right to sleep with a stuffed animal.
You have the right to see both sides.
You have the right to sing the blues.
You have the right to play with the fairies.
You have the right to state your own opinion
... even if it is stupid, intolerant, and mind-numbingly egocentric.
You have the right to a unique personality.
If you do not have a unique personality, one will be given to you by the
courts.
You have the right to make love in the rain.
You have the right to worry about the little things in life.
You have the right to eat too much candy.
You have the right to believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy,
and the Easter Bunny.
You do not have the right to believe in Bill Gates.
You have the right to lighten up.
You have the right to be yourself.
Do you understand these rights, as I have read them?

Leary was shorter, but it requires a bit of understanding of his
philosopy to understand the full implcations of "you can be *anything* this
time around."
Liked it.

Delicious and delightful. I was chuckling, too.
Timothy Leary, John?

Or Denis Leary. Pretty much the same sense of humor, only one was inspired
by LSD, the other by more socially manifested acidity.

(I was tired when I wrote that. I should have added something like "I
believe he exists, all right." Maybe that would have actually made it
moderately amusing, as I seem to recall intending. :)
