Hypoallergenic?  I've heard of things that you can do to reduce the
allergen affects...  Such as feeding them horse traquilizers...
(apparently  it doesn't tranquilize them, but kills the protein
that causes the problem.)  But I don't know what you can do about
Guinea Pigs....  I suggest following up on your idea of asking your vet.
