Cool, miniskirted superheroines doesn't sound feminist at all.
Wouldn't a feminist doll have to look more like Andrea Dworkin?
And assuming anyone would want to own such an object, what would
you do with it? Pull its tampon string and hear it yell "All
heterosexual intercourse is rape!" at your Ken doll? And all this
ignores the fact that "feminist doll" is an oxymoron.

And I didn't add my comment because #1 was such a hard act to follow. ;-)
To me it's just another sign that the word feminist is long past
being a useful term. It means too many things to too many people.
To those wanting to make a few bucks it means selling Barbie dolls
with miniskirts and an imaginary attitude.
Speaking of how long feminism has been around - I found this the
other day:
I myself have never been able to find out precisely what
feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist
whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from

Mee-yow! Seems like the same thing to me, so maybe the concept just
isn't all that new.
#1: Bitter, are we? Should we take this particular line to Homme,
mayhap?
Mary: The word "feminism" ceased to be useful about fifteen years ago.
This is just a minor step in its demise. The biggest step was when
"feminism" and "separatism" became synonymous in some circle, hence
Michael's cynicism.
And if there are GI Joe "dolls" then "feminist dolls" is certainly not
an oxymoron.

Not bitter, just in epigrammatic mode, which is where I seem
