Little people Mark Unseen   Nov 9 22:40 UTC 1995

Question: Do any of you people have lil' brothers or sister or just
little people who role-play? My little brother is trying to find some
people to pplay with and I thought I'd help him find some.

My little brother (age 13) plays...my friend's little brother (11?) plays too.

If I were nearby...
But I live not in Ann Arbor any more.

Though I once played at an all ages role-playing session.
(actually, that's pretty much what RPSIG is)

evan, age 10, might be interested, but he might find your bro a bit
young.

I promised my little nephew I'd teach him to play when he can read the books
by himself.

He's ten, hmm? And let's see, AD&D books are written at 4th grade reading
level (as well as any other book for that matter)

I've tried to teach my sister (9) how to play, but she says "I'm bored" and
walks out in the middle of adventures, so I've decided to not try to teach
anyone that age....except my cousins would probably be willing to learn soon.

many kids that age would rather *have* adventures than talk about imaginary
ones.

true. Makes you think we lost somthing. When your little you have a lot more
imagination now we settle for AD&D

response 13 of 31: Mark Unseen   Nov 18 18:35 UTC 1995

no, good roleplaying requires more imagination than running around and
pretending that sticks are guns

True..and in Role-playing, you can enter situations that kids either wouldn't
think of or shouldn't know about...;}

It's annoying when siblings take up the same interests as you, think they know
it all. |:-(

I hate that...siblings taking your interests, that is...my brother is right
in the stage where he tries to do everything exactly like me.....but he hasn't
made the mistakes that led up to my acting the way I do, and he does really
badly at it...kind of like a bad satire of me.

scary, I hate my brotehr, he lives to annoy me
bjorn
response 22 of 31: Mark Unseen   Nov 26 15:54 UTC 1995

Sounds like one of my cousins who uses my bad attitude as a role-model added
to his priding himself on being annoying. Even kicking the crap out of him
did not help. It's not like I'm *trying* to be a role-model, verily I was
trying *not* to be a role model when I lived in Iowa.
