I've played D&D, am sort-of in the process of making a Rifts World character,
and would like to start playing AD&D, but don't know where to start.

How much dice rolling is there in D&D? That's the one big problem I have with
AD&D, that and constantly looking up stuff, and there's always the lack of
players. <sigh>

there is a fair amount of dice rolling in D&D. You roll your character, roll
for battles, roll for initiative, roll for surprise, roll for wandering
monsters, roll for morale etc.

Is there a chance that we could have one in chat? It'd go a lot quicker
and smoother that way.

If you like simple game systems with only one type of dice, try Star Wars or
Storyteller (Vampire/Werewolf/Mage/Changeling/Wraith<barf>)

Whaddya mean there's a shortage of players? Do what I do...grab one of your
best friends and say "you WILL come, you WILL play, and if you don't like it,
then it's your turn to choose what game we play next time" It works!

Maybe we could set up a chat game... First, we need somebody to DM. Then,
we need times that people can come.

VERY hard. Hmmm I need maybe one more competent player and I could get a good
sized game going. Fun.

Well, if you give me some good notice, and do it on a weekend, I can probable
make it...I'll try, at least.
