A feeble excuse to start a new item... but I was at Encore last Saturday and bought the Can album SOUNDTRACKS out of the store player. Can has been one of those been-meaning-to bands for me for years, ever since I became fond of an early Holger Czukay LP back in the 1980s. I noticed Schoolkids-in-the-Basement had lots of reissues.

I remember hearing and enjoying some of "Ege Bamyasi" at some point and it's been one of my "maybe I should buy that" candidates for quite some time now. Unfortunately I've been kind of burned out on the whole prog rock/ experimental rock thing for a while and it'll probably have to wait until my tastes cycle around again. Unless someone wants to convince me otherwise..
