I'm making a "my favorite pop instrumental" CD-R
This is what I have so far:
Artie Shaw Begin the Beguine
Glenn Miller Moonlight Serenade
Glenn Miller In the Mood
Artie Shaw Frenesi
Percy Faith Theme from "A Summer Place"
Dave Brubeck Take Five
Herb Alpert Taste of Honey
Herb Alpert Rise
Herb Alpert Fandango
Harold Faltermeyer Axel F (Beverly Hills Cop themes)
Kenny G Songbird
Candy Dulfer Lily Was Here
Robert Miles Children
Candy Dulfer Smooth
Candy Dulfer For the Love of You
yes, yes, I know its not a very diverse collection of
Artists...I could probably add Miles Davis and George
Gerswin to the list.
So what are your all time favorite instrumentals of
the 20th century???

Where are Midnight in Moscow, that drum piece from the late 50s/early
60s, Telstar, and Yackety Sax?

Hocus Pocus by Focus. Okay, it's got some yodeling in it.

While listening to Definitely Not The Opera on CBC Radio earlier this
afternoon, I was surprised to hear an instrumental track from Halifax
hip-hop artist Buck 65, titled "Track 5." I would not consider it a
hip-hop track, as it seemed to feature an elven chant of some sort.

Fight of the Cosmic Hippo by Bela Fleck. I also enjoyed Victor's Bass solo
on Live art.
