The Themed Mix Disc Item
|
Mar 20 00:29 UTC 2004 |
Someone on livejournal started this cool mix disc idea they posted a
theme and then people posted what they d put on theirs. If anyone is
interested in actually making and exchanging these, that would be cool,
too.
Suggested theme
A Frankenstein Mix with songs that fit the following:
- from the last CD you purchased
- labeled blues or "the blues"
- gets you going in the morning
- romantic
- one of the first you remember hearing
- you discovered from a film
- from your favorite band or artist
- from a band or artist that you don't really like except for this song
- a lullabye
- makes you laugh
- a really good cover version
- reminds you of school days
- from an artist that you are embarrassed to admit you like
- FUNKY!
- for those quiet rainy nights
- no matter when you hear it, it makes you feel good
- with the word "Look" in the title
- from a member of the Dead Rocker's Society
- is your favorite Elvis song
- anything else that fits
- by Johnny Cash (or about Johnny Cash)
If you'd like to participate, say so in the comments. I ll be posting
my choices later (I have some of them but others are a little more
iffy.)

Now it's not. I killed 173, since it didn't have any responses, and froze 175,
so this is now the default active version. Sorry about the duplicate posts,
but I don't normally use Backtalk to post and it somehow didn't work. Or so
I thought.
Anyhow, anyone want to discuss the actual content? :-)

Seems like it'd be pretty hard to maintain a consistent flow
through such an erratically formatted mix but I can think of
something to fit into just about every category.
