Eli Goldberg of Prometheus Music
would like to announce:

    (* drum roll please *)

Julia Ecklar's "Divine Intervention" legendary filk album will be shortly
back again in print as a remastered CD, and we're now welcoming pre-orders.
(Remember that tape with the orchestra and the keyboards, with a flying horse
on the cover?)

We especially appreciate your direct purchases, as the reprint was
exorbitantly expensive, and your direct sales will enable an all-new Julia
Ecklar CD to be produced twice as fast. Plus, you'll get it 6-8 weeks sooner.
However, Bill & Gretchen Roper *will* have it at ConFusion in January.

"Divine Intervention is back, and it's a CD."
-- excerpt from Larry Niven's CD dedication

THE DIVINE INTERVENTION SAGA
----------------------------

It may be hard to believe, but this CD almost didn't happen.

The Divine Intervention CD was the culmination of years of painstaking
effort by members of the original Air Craft Records production team,
Prometheus Music (okay, me ;), and specialized vendors.

The original masters were gone --- toast. We searched everywhere
imaginable, down to anyone who'd ever duplicated cassettes for Air Craft.
Chris Procopio alone searched through hundreds of old Air Craft reels.

We finally tracked down a second-generation set of analog safety backups
lingering in Michael Moricz's basement. They were caked in mold. We hired
media restoration experts Vidipax in New York City. They weren't cheap, but
they meticulously restored the media to as good as analog media gets.

Michael Moricz --- producer of the original album --- oversaw completion
of the CD.

New to the CD edition is "Roxanne", a freshly recorded bonus track
reuniting members of the original cast, alongside Pittsburgh Symphony oboist
Renate Sakins.

Michael also unearthed several never-before-released instrumental mixes
of which you'll find "Lullaby for a Weary World" and "Temper of Revenge" on
the CD.

The 24-page Digipak album booklet sheds new insight on the saga behind
Divine Intervention and the artistic works within, with compositions by Julia
Ecklar, Michael Moricz, and a surprise guest dedication by SF author
Larry Niven. Lyrics included, too. Woo-hoo!

Design honcho Richard Leeds, whose extensive credits include serving as
Art Director for "Keyboard" and "Guitar Player" magazines, produced drop-dead
wicked packaging for the release.

The final CD contains a packed 73 minutes of classic and new material:

    1. Overture (3:10)
    2. Ladyhawke! (3:56)
    3. Crimson & Crystal (3:29)
    4. Burnish Me Bright (5:09)
    5. Apocalypse (2:57)
    6. Survivor's Song (3:31)
    7. Terminus Est (3:52)
    8. Fallen Angel (5:14)
    9. Temper of Revenge (6:16)
    10. Crane Dance (4:33)
