Alternitive music, from Iceland. Has anyone aside from me heard Bjork's new
album: Debut? If so what did you think.

Could that possibly be "Alternative" music from Iceland? Hee.

Get some brains. I'm allowed to listen to however many certain "types"
music I care to.

Getting back to the alleged topic, I did see the video for "Human Behavior"
on 120 Minutes, and really liked it.

I bought _Debut_. Have only listened to it once, so far. It's OK.

First time I'd ever heard any "alternitive" music. The music is dominant over
the singing.

I actually happened to hear some of Bjork's album in a Harmony House shoppe
today. It was kind of interesting, I might buy it. Somewhere I have
squirreled away the first CD single by the Sugarcubes, but I never
liked it enough to follow the 'Cubes much further.

Anyone here heard Bjork's earlier band, KUKL? I don't know if any
KUKL albums were ever exported from Iceland.

I don't think any KUKL almbums have. I did see the video for "Human
Behavior."weird stuff.

Oddly enough, though her current album is titled "Debut", it's apparently
her third or fourth album..

What do you expect from Iceland!? If I lived there, my children, when I have
them would be either Bjornsen or Bjornsdaughter depending on the sex of the
child. Talk about a way to mess up relations through last names.

Is "Debut" her first solo album? I had assumed it was, though heaven knows
what she may have released in Iceland before she hit it big with the
Sugarcubes.

Yes. It is her first solo abulm.

re #14: No, it's not her first solo album. In #12 I meant third or
fourth album without the Sugarcubes. Apparently her first album was
some sort of children's record when she was < 10 years old.

It is her first solo album to be promoted in the U.S., of course..

Ok, so in a way it is, but at the same time it's not, right?.
