On the radio news this morning: a 12-year-old girl in <I forget> summoned the police because her parents had the stereo turned up too loud. They were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Ouch.. Those can be pricey tickets.. A friend of mine got fined $100 for playing his radio on his porch (according to the police if it can be heard from the sidewalk, it's too loud, which seems like a crock to me..) Of course the police might have been a bit cranky because he had the bad luck to be playing "Fuck the Police" when they arrived.. Whoops..

You get the impression the kid was getting revenge for being told "Turn down that goddamn stereo!" by her parents one too many times.
