Has anyone seen a studio recording of Tori Amos' version of "American Pie"
(a Don McLean hit)
If so
Where can I find one?

Has she ever done a full version of the song? I know she
sang a few verses during each concert on her last tour, as
a lead-in to her version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
I even heard her sing those verses at the concert I went to.
And I believe she did sing the whole song at a few of them.
But I've never heard of any studio recording she's done
of the song.

Hey, I have a copy of it--from a bootleg called "Precious Rarities."

How do you spell the title of the new CD? Pele might be the volcano goddess
Pele?
Like to know what you think of it, since I've not heard anything yet.

Pele does indeed refer to the Hawaiian volcano goddess, and not
the Brasilian soccer star. (Both are spelled the same way.)
The album is, um, weird. And wild. And weird.

It's angry and exposed--imagine "Earthquakes" taken and re-Tori-ed.
Double the intensity. Change the l;yrics to say so much more.
That's "Boys".
But there are some of her trademark beauty pieces, too. All intense and
captivating.
Pele referrs to a Hawaiian volcano goddess that only accepted the
sacrafice of young, beautiful men.
