Any new Aimee Mann coming out soon?
No, I am not a raving lunatic mental "bought 3 bags of her trash for only
$5000, what a deal on such a great artist", but ...
Any time soon a new album? First (unless there were some rare indies) album
what really good, although I don't have the movie single (I'm not THAT much
of a sucker).

Well, she obviously isn't a big MTV star. There is one obscure video
relt
oops
related to a movie.
Pretty good basic slightly retro music, a lot like late 60's Byrds or
Beatles. She has a pretty interesting voice as well.
I saw her on Conan O'Brien and ended up buying the album. Good tunes!

Wow, exactly a year since I entered this item!
The new album is out, and it's called "I'm With Stupid". Pretty good album!
A little rougher edged than "Whatever", still really good writing. I'm
listening to it right now.

Yes, Mann was profiled in the Ann Arbor News within the last few days,
and she's on the cover of the February issue of Tower's PULSE.
The story goes on at length about her record company troubles.

Erik Larsen, who gained fame at Marvel drawing such characters as
the Hulk and Spiderman before setting off on his own titles, is also
a big Aimee Mann fan. I haven't personally heard any of her stuff,
although I'd like to. I didn't even hear all that much from 'Til
Tuesday, except for "Voice Carry." That was one of the first videos
I regularly watched on MTV, way back when they played music. 8^)

The radio said she's at Seventh House again, tonight. Dunno if that's
a mistake or what.
I get a schedule in the mail, as I'm what they call a 'founding member'
and I don't know how I got that way except I went to see Jonathan Edwards
