Welcome to Grex buk. I'm a big fan of the Pixes, Sonic Youth, Tom
Waits, Throwing Muses, Dog Faced Hermans etc. I would love to go to a
show in Ireland but can't afford the travel $$ :-(.

Hi, lads! Hey this is great my first day and I'm already talking to someone.
Paul you seem to get around a fair bit, being involved in a major argument
in that FEMMES thing concerning twits.NIce to meet you.
Matthew, obviously you're in America. You luck sod, you get to hear
most new albums weeks before they get over here.
Dont you just hate Rod Stewart...he keeps knocking songs off from
Tom Waits(Downtown Train, Tom Trauberts Blues) and making them into
soppy hits. Then again the royalities probably keep Tom in whisky
and romantic dreams for a while.
Actually hes married to a woman from just outside my home town.
"OH,how I danced with the Rose of Tralee" is a line from
Raindogs I think and its about his wife Kathleen Brennan.

Pixies dead.....Breeders cannonball away with their inspiration in the new
year. Saw 'em live last year. What an experience! Kim and Kelly Deal,
inspirations for many a wet dream, jumping round on stage, being bitchy towards
each other and threating to kill the next guy who yells "Get your tits out". It
was like watching Rosanne with music Unbelievable.

Sonic Youth last album kinda sucked didn't it!

Well, elephants are hiding behind rocks here so I'd better head.
I've an assignment due tomorrow and i ain't started it yet.
see you, lads.

I like the Breeders *much* better than Frank Black... I guess I know where
the musical talent came from. :)

Reckoning is about the only REM album I can deal with now. I was
a big fan of those boys back in the day, but I'm burnt out on them now
& can't stand that what's The Frequency Kenneth song. I did think Automatic
was an OK comeback though.

<brighn comforts rob> There, there, it happens to the best of us.

Monster has its moments but, no, I wouldn't advise it. Borrow a copy
from a friend.

I was a big R.E.M. fan starting in 1982 or 1983; RECKONING and FABLES
have always been my favorite albums. The three year break in recording
between GREEN and OUT OF TIME cooled our relationship, and now I find
that I've had a copy of MONSTER for a month or more and I still
can't be bothered to open it. (Come to think of it, I suspect I
no longer have a favorite rock band.)

I thought Green sucked and rarely play it, Out of Time was slightly better,
but I really liked Automatic... However, from what I've heard of Monster,
if I don't find it used, I'm not going to get it as it seems to sound like
Green2

HI!
Was the system down last week?I couldn't get on...
In reply to the question <way> back Reckoning is my favouite album."So.Cental
Rain" is one of their best songs.Hormonious bass and vocals. Monster is quite
good I think. At last Buck has rediscovered the eletic guitar and noise pedal.
I hear that Sonic Youth are supporting them on tour! Anyone got any news about
Fugazi? There meant to be a new album.

Regarding number 6:
REM's new music videos are closed captioned for the hearing impaired who
watch MTV.

Personally, I really *love* Automatic for the People. That is one of
my favorite albums (and I have a lot). I also love the song "Stand".

<nephi sings "Stand in the place where you live, now face north...">
