"Ghost Rider"... does that have anything to do with the *Marvel* comic
character of the same name? I have to admit I never read "The Crow".

"The Crow" -- the comic -- is actually quite disturbing and depressing.
I had always flipped through it in the store when it came out because it
thought the art was pretty good. Last year, I bought "The Crow Collected"
trade paperback. It blew me away. It was one of the few comics I've
bought in my 20+ years of collecting that actually effected me emotionally.

I can only hope the film is 1/10th of the book.

I'm gonna see it just to see how they did it after he died.

I hope they don't take a cue from Plan Nine Form Outerspace!

What a silly reson to see a movie (of course that's one of the reasons I am
fascinated by it) (er, that should be reason, not reson) <sigh>

I saw the movie: what a great dissapointment. Very little char. development,
OK cinematography, but the story had so many holes, the plot was
extremely predictable, and it was set in a pseudo future- everything
was the same as the present except that it rained all the time.
No disrespect to Brandon- he himself did what he could with a lame script,
but it was annoying that the critics hailed it as a masterpiece-
because if he hadn't died, I think they would've panned it...
Good soundtrack, though...

Hey I LOVED the movie!! oh, btw- is the instrumental stuff in the movie
on the soundtrack? My brother (who also LOVED the movie) wants to
know. Cause if it is, he'll buy the soundtrack.

Think I'm getting old. :-) Bought the Crow soundtrack on a friend's
reccommendatin and hated it. Noise. (Well, ok. I liked the Cure's song. And one
other, but most of it went --- whesh -- right over my head.) I admit I haven't
been listening to most of the groups on there, but it was still a
disappointment.

Is this supposed to be a positive item, or what????
Anne, for your information, and Matt's (or is it Jim's?), there is a SCORE
as well, (I own both) that is EXCELENT, that has the music from the movie.

As for having a weak plot, I hope that you never die, or have to give a dying
person some words of encouragement. I have read the Crow, I read it a long
time ago,and I have a copy now, and if THAT is a weak plot, then you have a
LOT to learn about scripts. Due to the graphic, and emotional nature of the
Crow book, they had to tone it down for a general "R" rating.

(I missed the response that said the Crow had a weak plot. I did see
something like "predictable", though.)

I just have to say that "The Crow" soundtrack rules! It had all of my favorite
bands from "Rage Against the Machine" to "Nine Inch Nails". "Pantera" and
"Violent Femmies" also had some cool tracks. If your in. \ quit end chat
