Could someone please tell me what a MUDlib and what a MUD driver is and how
do they mix together?

A mud driver is the code that "runs (or DRIVES)" the mud. The lib is
the world itself, the rooms, objects, mobs, etc. The driver makes it go,
the lib is what the builders edit to make a world.
Sorry, that's the best explanation I can give :).

the driver is only the server, the mudlibs include all functions (incl. login,
user-administration) AND the world itself.

resp:1 This is correct in a general sense, but as terminology use of MUDlib
and MUD driver almost always refers to MUDs that are members of the LPMUD
family.
