My friends are really sad. They were using m-net for email as they have only
a shell account. It's a hot time for them getting responses from the
Universities for their fall 2000 admissions. It would be good if m-net comes
back asap. I know it's hard for the limited number of folks to fix the problem
so soon in addition to their regular schedule/work. But, please try to do that
soon. Thanks....

I use Mnet as my primary email too but it isnt that big of a deal. Luckily
everyone who wants to get in touch with me has my phone number. I do feel bad
about one friend though. He lives in Lebanon and I dont have his email address
here as it is in my address book on Mnet. Anyhow, he called me because he was
worried about me because his email to me is getting bounced. I dont have his
phone number in Lebanon either. OH well, I'll shoot him an email when Mnet
is back up. No biggie.

Would it be hard to take one of the backups of the home directory disks,
mount it on some random system, and allow FTP access to it?

Y'all... Use hotmail.com or something. M-Net isn't the only place you can
use email for free.

Where can I get free pop mail? The only place close to that is yahoo, but they
require that you submit to endless spam in order to have pop service.
