Kaypro vs 2400 baud vs grex
|
Sep 2 10:57 UTC 1991 |
My Kaypro II is rather slow. At 2400 baud it tends to lose the characters
at the beginning of a line. On m-net I could take care of the problem by
issuing the command, "stty cr3". Here that command only seems to work
for the moment, and as soon as I do anything it is released (or something).
Suggestions? (Other than "buy a new computer!")
Thanks

Forgot to mention: this problem occurs with QTERM, KERMIT and MEX. There
is a fast terminal program, FASTTERM, which doesn't have that problem, but
it is a very dumb and not too useful terminal program.

Try stty cr0 (there are four of them; cr0 - cr3). Also there is a linefeed
delay, nl0 - nl3. One of those might work for you.

Obviously I do not know what I'm doing, just poking around...
Thanks, I'll try the linefeeed delays.
