I have acquired this machine, other reference numbers seem to be type 7012 90-M6056. I have managed to get it to "talk" to a terminal after booting .. seems to describe system info, programmes loaded etc. However, I can't talk to it from the terminal or a local keyboard. Wonder if there is anyone who has had experience with these devices who may be able to assist? Thanks, Ron.

Did you try the IBM website?

Can't talk to it? You mwan the terminal reads from the machine, but doesn't echo characters? Odd. I'd have to guess that the serial port uses a different wire setup than you expect. I don't know how to fix that. Neat problem.
