Wow. A real live malayam speaker. A while ago, a friend of mine showed me a few words - his parents had lived in Malaysia or Indonesia or some such for a while - and I was impressed by how decidedly neat it sounded. | ||

re#4 : Malayalam and Malay language is quite different actually. Malayalam is spoken by people in India while Malay language is spoken by people in the countries you mentioned. Because of the names so similar, these two languages are easily mistaken. The language that your friend showed you must be the Malay language.
