Is everyone familiar with the radio program "My Word" (BBC)? It airs on WUOM on Saturdays just after noon, & all too often I miss it. It pretends to be a quiz show but is an occasion for wit & exploration of language. I should add that often the participants seem impossibly erudite, and then they miss something obvious (to me). This is partly due to the Atlantic Ocean. In any case, I should judge that many of those in this conference would enjoy it, particularly the last round.

I listen to it when not on a bike ride or on the walk. I sometimes wonder if they haven't given out the answers ahead of time. As you say, though, they often miss something that is rather obvious for Americans so I guess not.

They wouldn't give the kind of hints they do if answers were predistributed (or, for that matter, if anyone cared about the score).
