Last Meal

I read a similar item on another board, thought I'd see what y'all think...
[hope y'all don't mind my southern slang!! ^^^^] :-)
If you knew that you're next meal would be your last one--what would you
want that meal to consist of? [There are no limitations as to what you
can have.] And, out of curiousity, who would you want to spend the last
meal with??

Same food as I'd want if I were stranded on a desert island with only
one meal to repeat endlessly: sag paneer (Indian cheese and spinach),
pillau (rice, Indian style, with spices), chapatis, and Indian rice pudding.
If this were my last meal ever, I'd substitute tons of Zingermans chocolate
cake for the rice pudding. Mmmmm!

Today is Rob's birthday. For dinner I cooked Black Bean Tostadas from the
Sundays at Moosewood cookbook. (We drove to Ithaca one time to eat at
Moosewood, ate Black Bean Tostadas, and decided they were so good that they
were worth the trip.) The cookbook says to serve 'em with guacamole, salsa,
sour cream, chopped lettuce, and grated cheese, so I did. Some of the black
beans were home-grown on the porch this summer. And I used tangelos instead
of oranges in the black bean mixture, because the co-op had tangelo slices
available to taste a few weeks ago and they were yummy. For dessert I made
homemade tiramisu, served with a candle in it. Oh my goodness -- 8 by 12
inches of tiramisu!!! We decided that some couples have a song but that we
would have an official dinner instead. "Look, honey, they're serving our
dinner!"
If it were the end of the world, perhaps this is what we would eat.

Okay. Until you cleared it up at the end, I had no idea what that had
to do with your last meal.

Potatoe Leek soup. A huge mixed salad with absolutely no iceburg lettuce
in it. A lovely cassarole just like grandma used to make. Since it's
a last meal, and my blood sugar would be irrelevant, several decadent
desserts. ;)

Lots of sushi, leaving room for cheesecake (assuming I could get the right
cheesecake in a last meal... I'm very fussy).

Being your last meal, how about puffer fish liver and other deathly
dangerous delicacies?
