NEW YORK ONION ROLLS
|
Apr 29 13:18 UTC 1996 |
Does anyone know how to make New York Onion Rolls? (thanks remmers)
They are sold in most Jewish bakeries and are the ones that are
stuffed with onions and rectangular shaped.

I've seen preparations for a similar onion roll, involving simmering the
(cut-up) onions a while first. This isn't too surprising or anything, but
it's all I have to offer, & no one is jumping in with a recipe.

(I think Jim is thanking me for telling him how to enter an
item. You're more than welcome. Unfortunately, I can't help
with the main question...)

This item is now linked from Cooking 119 to Intro 15.
Type "join cooking" at the Ok: prompt for discussion of
onion rolls from all over the world, as well as other
foodstuffs.
