i don't have anything...i'm sorry!!!
i do know, tho, that my dad makes beef-veggie soup, and that he puts in
cabbage and sometimes cans of tomatoes....good stuff. is that the type of
stuff that you might be looing for?

Makes 6 servings >
2 cups finely shredded green cabbage
1 medium-sized yellow onion, peeled and minced
1/4 cup butter or margarine
6 cups beef broth, bouillon, or consumme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup finely grated Cheddar or Parmesan cheese or 1/2 cup sour cream
Stir-fry cabbage and onion in butter in a large, heavy saucepan over
moderately low heat until cabbage is wilted, not brown. Add broth, salt, and
pepper, cover and simmer 15-20 minutes until cabbage is tender. Ladle into
soup bowls, sprinkle with cheese or top with sour cream, and serve. About
165 calories per serving.
German Cabbage soup: Prepare as directed and just before serving thicken with
2 tablespoons flour blended with 1/4 cup cold water. Also stir in 1
tablespoon caraway seeds and 2 tablespoons butter or margarine; omit cheese
or sour cream topping. About 170 calories per serving
French Cabbage Soup: Prepare as directed, increasing broth to 2 quarts and
adding at the same time 1 cup each diced peeled potatoes and carrots and 1
peeled and crushed clove garlic. Top with croutons instead of cheese or sour
cream. About 190 calories per serving
Basque Cabbage soup: Prepare as directed, increasing broth to 2 quarts and
adding at the same time 1 cup cooked dried limas and 1 peeled and crushed
clove garlic. Top each serving with 1/4 teaspoon vinegar instead of cheese
or sour cream. About 195 Calories per serving.
Russian Sauerkraut soop: Prepare as directed, substituting 2 cups drained
sauerkraut for cabbage and adding 1 (1-pound) undrained can tomatoes, breaking
tomatoes up. op each serving with sour cream. About 190 calories per
serving.
