Logic puzzles

There are eleven puzzles on this page. If you have other ones you'd
like to see included, post them here and I'll try add them as time
allows.
The page does not work in IE on windoze, but works in most other
browsers I've tried. There may be some formatting weirdness, so post
your comments and I'll fix what I can.
By the way, you can save a partially completed puzzle by clicking the
"Save" button and then bookmarking the page. The search string (the
part after the ?) in the url encodes the puzzle identity and solution
state. The exception is is that I have not yet come up with a way to
save the data entered in the editable squares in the "Dude Ranch Blues"
puzzle. That puzzle has too many dimensions required to use the normal
format that all others use.
Happy puzzling!

Solved the first one rather easily, but gave up there because this computer is
to slow to compile *and* browse in X at the same time.

You'll notice the grids are progressively larger, reflecting the
increasing complexity of the puzzles.

The one drawback I see is that there's no way to verify that you've
solved it correctly.

Columns don't all line up in Opera (8.54/WinXP) in some of them. In the
second, the textboxes for the number-of-pieces are too small, so only
one digit of the '10' shows up. It *would* be nice to have a 'check'
button or some way to check if it's done right, and a 'reset' button to
clear all the fields. . .
thanks, i haven't done one of these things in *years*.
(apologies if this shows up twice, my connection's being a bit flaky
atm...)
