I think 15 is supposed to be "76 T in the B P".

response 2 of 18: Mark Unseen   Mar 30 19:52 UTC 2001

No, it's an L: "110 C R B".

Re#1, Yeah, that's what I figured.

I think I have all of them but 16,22,24,25,27,30, and 32.

Check the lyrics. The L looks right to me.

Yup.

#1 still has me stumped, and I've only gotten as far as #10.

Isn't this a repeat? I'm sure an old agora has most of the
answers.

The list has mutated a bit, but the puzzle format and most of the entries
  are familiar..

response 8 of 18: Mark Unseen   Mar 31 02:42 UTC 2001

I've gotten all but 5, 7, 13, 18, 22, 24, 26, 29, 31, and 32. I _think_
I've gotten 30, and 8 isn't true any more. And now I've forgotten 33.

Oops, you guys are right about #15. I wasn't thinking.

response 10 of 18: Mark Unseen   Apr 17 16:35 UTC 2001

Well, I've gotten all but 8, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29, and 31. #30
is arguable; I would prefer 8=W N in an O.

response 11 of 18: Mark Unseen   Apr 18 15:43 UTC 2001

item 16 is wrong; it should be 24 = K in S G.

Are the answers going to become available somewhere? Maybe after all this
time, people can just post what they've come up with so far...

response 13 of 18: Mark Unseen   Jun 3 05:21 UTC 2001

The answers are available online; do a web search for "C in S G" and you'll
find them.

Well, Grex's net connection is down and I'm dialed in and this has been up
a long time, so I'll type in my guesses:

1) 24 Bottles in a Case
2) 12 Signs of the Zodiac
3) 9 Planets in the Solar System
4) 360 Degrees in a Circle
6) 4 Quarts in a Gallon
7) 1 Wheel on a Unicycle
9) 57 Heinz Varieties
12) 29 Days in February in a Leap Year
14) 40 Days and Nights in the Great Flood
15) 76 Trombones Lead the Big Parade
17) 3 Little Kittens that Lost Their Mittens
19) 66 Books of the Bible (in the King James Version)
20) 9 Judges of the Supreme Court
33) 4 Horsemen of the Apolocypse

Not too good, but I didn't spend much time on it either.

Anyone care to extend this item further, and make it trickier still, by not
including the number itself? For instance, try these:

?=T L N
???=P of F
