I should be able to present my qualifications as a computer professional (and
perhaps take an exam) and get a special "tech support caller" license. This
license would allow me, when calling tech support, to skip first level ("are
you sure you own a computer"), second level ("is the computer turned on"),
and yea, even third level ("have you actually installed the software or is
your CD drive broken because you use it as a cupholder?") tech support and
go right to top level ("say, that *does* sound like a bug! Maybe next year
we will fix it") support technicians.

Re:#1 AMEN! I hate explaining my problems to front desk people who have no
idea what I'm saying but refuse to let me talk to people higher up. I can't
even understand how these people got the front desk jobs when I know more than
some of them do even though I have no computer training.
(is this item supposed to be realistic, i.e. are time machines and other
sci-fi contraptions possible to add to a wish list of the way things should
be?)
Okay, here's a realistic one. Appearances shouldn't matter. Ditto for other
things you can't control: age, gender, etc. People should be respected
regardless of their physical appearance if they are decent people deep down.

Everyone should be concerned about the impact of their personal actions
have upon the environment and society when those personal actions are
perceived as multiplied by all the others doing the same things. (I
would like to just say, everyone should concern themselves with and take
personal actions to circumvent the "tragedy of the commons", but that
uses a jargon phrase.)

ref #2: As a front desk person of another sort, I wish people could concisely
state what they need so I can send them to the right person instead of telling
me their life story while I have six other lines ringing.
