Whooping Cough

Apparently there is a whooping cough (diphtheria) epidemic going on.
A friend's son tested positive for it, had it for months, father also got it
for a long time.  Have any grexers had it recently and what were your symptoms
and how long did it last?  I think I caught it from someone and still have
it, with relapses.  Runny eyes and nose, exhaustion, headache, chills...
and of course a lot of coughing.
