|

Hi Grexers
I had a humble question, how and when a couple could have sexual
intercourse so that there is no or minimum risk of pregnancy!
Please advise!
Regards

Pre-menarche, post-menopause, sterilization, and various less reliable
methods. Planned Parenthood will be happy to advise you on what would work
best for a particular couple.

You shouldn't have sex unless you are married.

Does being married prevent pregnancy?

Is VD not an issue at all? Even if not, a condom or "female condom" is
a very good birth control method, and combines wonderfully with most
other birth control methods for greatly reduced risk of pregnancy.
Of course, most birth control methods are 5 times to 100 times LESS
effective if not done correctly *every single time*...and *thinking*
that you did things correctly it 100% useless.

When VD is an issue, it is...an issue. But it need not be if care and hygiene
are exercised. Of course, in addition to birth control measures, there is the
"morning after pill", RU-486, and other means of preventing pregnancy.

re #15

Those 3 or 4 days right before the period starts. It works great if you're
a Catholic (and enjoy large families.)

Also the first 3 or 4 days after it starts, and you can get out a library book
on the subject and buy a special thermometer and follow the instructions but
be prepared for accidents. Have you considered sex other than coitus?

There is probably also lots of information on the web about the 'rhythm
method' or whatever it is called nowadays, since in theory that is the only
method available to Catholics.
