The only problems that I know of with blood groups and pregnancy is when a mother is Rh negative and the fetus is Rh positive and the mother's blood can react against the baby's blood if there is a SECOND Rh positive baby. But there are treatments now to prevent these problems. If the father is also Rh negative the baby will not be Rh positive. Blood group O means that your friend should receive blood transfusions from someone else with blood group O, if needed. I don't think this is related to blood pressure in any way.

There is good coverage of blood groups at http://users.rcn.com/jkimball.ma.ultranet/BiologyPages/B/BloodGroups.html
