Gardening resources for the newcomer Mark Unseen   Jun 15 09:04 UTC 2006

Why do they say: "Sow late winter to early spring" what happens if i sow
early or at any time of the year? Are there any decent gardening resources
on the web, that explain things for newbies? What are the must read material
for newbie gardeners? Are there any nice web-sites on gardening that you use?

Some things only grow well here in cool weather or short days, after which
they go to seed, such as lettuce or some cabbages. Some things here need a
long season so you have to start them early. I don't use garden sites, I make
my own mistakes and ask other gardeners here.
