Party Filters, share your filters Mark Unseen   May 1 20:25 UTC 2019

Party Filters... to make party better, add color, format output, etc. Does
anyone out there use them? Would you be willing to share your filters here
for the sake of party history??

There was a user named `pfv` who had a pretty fancy filter at
some point. He hasn't been on in a few years, though.

Great tip! The src for his filter is world readable, I'll assume that means
he's OK with the world reading it :)

How does pfv's filter compare to wildparty?

+1 for wildparty. I've been having non-stop wild party for years now it seems.

The "spaced-out" filter:

Three versions available:
Version 1: shell
Version 2: gnu sed
Version 3: bsd sed

See the performance comparison after the versions.
Might do a fancier perl version ... sometime.
