Backtalk interpreter access Mark Unseen   Dec 28 06:55 UTC 2017

(Copying this post from its original conference, intro.)

Reading the documentation for the Backtalk system
(http://www.unixpapa.com/backtalk/stab/doc/), I see the conference
system is build on top of an interpreter for its own programming
language, which is similar to Postscript or Forth.

Is the interpreter accessible to ordinary users, either inside Backtalk
or from the Grex shell? Can Backtalk Script Language be used to create
our own BBS customizations, or general programs?

I don't think so. One can grab a copy of the software and write little
programs in the language if one wants, but I don't think any of the
extant interfaces allow you to program in it directly.

Thanks for the answer. I've tried building my own copy of Backtalk both on
SDF and here without success yet, but I will keep working at it as I have
time.
