Life Goes On, a Sophomoric Poem
|
Jun 2 06:52 UTC 1992 |
We have met our maker and he is us,
Stewing in the juices of our ancestors
We are yet as cooks, adding new flavors to the pot,
The devouring and yet the devoured,
We have met our destroyer and he is us.

It's not merely bad, it's the cause of badness in others.
Shame on you.

Yeah, I had a bad spot too, until I combed my hair over it.
Actually, I like the poem. And could I get a sandwich to go?

And I'm just happy to go here and go there without any particular
destination in mind.

Variety may be the spice of life, but *spice* is the spice of food.

Spice is the variety of food, and valerie is the spice of grex.
Perfectly square wooden blocks may be stacked infinitely high if you don't
fall off the stepladder and knock them over.

How about a house of cards?

Jan 15 03:32 UTC 1998 |
After a bit (if you're good), the house of cards reaches the point
where you can't breathe lest it fall over. Somewhat later (if you're
really good) it reaches the point where you can't move, either.
Progress after that is understandably slow.
