        There's no forgiving half of Monday,
        The other half? -Well, we shall see,
        Tuesday's yet another story,
        Framed in Technicolor glory,
        Innuendos come a-sneaking
        And the suits are all a-freaking.

        Need we speak again of Wednesday?
        A cesspool, unremitting frenzy!

        Thursday, if it were a jury,
        Surely it would be sequestered,
        Aren't you sorry that you pestered
        Me and drove me to distraction?
        Sorry? Hah! Not e'en a fraction!
        
        Oh thank God it's finally Friday!
        Wrap the week all nice and tidy,
        Wrap it in bright-colored paper,
        And as the week's travails taper,
        Hurl the package in the river,
        And from this evil please deliver.
