Nine White Guys
|
Jul 18 20:11 UTC 1997 |
There were nine white guys on the team, nine white
guys. Not one of them cast a shadow. Yet my shadow
was clearly visible on the ground. I looked up to
the sky, seeking an explanation.
It occurred to me that my shadow might be springing
from something within me, something I had that those
nine other guys lacked.
I mean, the sky was blue, not a cloud in it.

I don't know, sounds like _Field Of Dreams_ to me. "If you build it, they will
come."

Try replacing your batteries & bulb. If that doesn't work, hide under
the water cooler in the smoker's break room.

But only if it's raining men outside. Little green ones, in purple high heels.
And tank tops.

What if it's snowing tall, muscular men in short-but-baggy orange swim
trunks (slightly faded from chlorine & washing)? And what if they're
coming down HARD because the little propellers on their beanie hats
are running backwards with fresh batteries???

Then I say you should seek medical help. Immediately. Without fail.
Or you could just going swimming. Whatever.
