The Nights Were Twice as Long Mark Unseen   Jul 10 03:03 UTC 1997

My eyes were but slits now, and the nights were twice
as long as ever before. I savored the few brief hours
of daylight when they came. Then night would fall again,
and the tiny bullets would fill the air and strike me
with their sharp points. Blinking hard, I willed them
to become raindrops, and they did, but alas! As they
turned to water, so did I, melting to the ground and
        soaking into the earth.

You know, jumping over puddles is a lot harder these days.
They just don't make puddles like they used to.
This one keeps trying to run away.

Why jum[ over the puddles? I'm a "let's see how big a splash we can make with
this one!" kind of person myself.

Drain the puddles and put in a strip mall. It's called progress.

Easy. Dirt contains sand, which is ground up pebbles, which are small stones.
Ask me another!
