She Swallowed All the Cities Up
|
Apr 3 17:47 UTC 1994 |
[Copyright (C) 1991 by John H. Remmers]
She swallowed all the cities up,
The shining cities, many-hued,
A lesser girl'd have spit them out,
But she did swallow every one.
She crushed the country in her fists,
The spray of rivers soaked her dress,
The powdered meadows caked her form,
Her strength was second but to none.
She tied the sky into a bow
So to her flowing hair adorn,
Had anyone remained to watch
They'd see her carving up the sun.

ick! sounds like something Shel Silverstein would think of. Unpleasant,
greedy child. Did she even think to wash her hands?

I'd think that'd give you a tummy ache, especially with how old it is. (Did
somebody remember to put it in the fridge? I didn't.

If you put the sun in the fridge, would the sun freeze?
Or would the fridge explode?
What is the sound of one fridge popping?

How does the sound of the 20 fridges popping change as the pop inside
goes flat?
And which way do you go from the North Pole to get to the center of a
triangle?

But what if the bovine behind pokes across the border into Spain while
the teeth are munching on French tomato plants with roots that are partly
in Andorra? Will our quest for sloppy joes end in success, defeat, or
a Pyreneec victory?
