quick tip
|
Jun 16 03:17 UTC 2006 |
i have a quick tip that may come in handy for you when buying stuff on
ebay.
i recived an item broken in half due to poor packing, i emailed the
seller they asked me to snap a picture of it and sent me a brand new
one properly packed, FREE! :)
yesterday i recived a model i ordered (bid and won) and they sent the
wrong one, i emailed the guy and he said to just keep the incorrect
item and they will mail me the correct one today.
he let me KEEP a fully functional perfectly new item and sent me the
correct one.
now, how did i get this lucky you may ask?
BE POLITE.
send a friendly email with descriptive errors, be nice about it, dont
be a dick. and good things shall come!

also, if you keep positive contact with a seller (buyer) after the
sale, it can pay off too.

I sold an HD-DVD to a girl who said it wouldn't work, despite its near-mint
condition. She typed in all caps, which made it pretty irritating. Carefully
kept up the emails while being polite, and she reveals she's using Sony HD.
After I explained to her that Sony makes Blu-Ray players exclusively (it's
the format they made), she realized her mistake, gave me positive feedback,
and put me on her favorites list. I'm glad I was patient with her, or I might
have had to go through a sour refund process. . .
