Let's return to the original ideas that started this conference in the first
place. I've re-posted some of the early writings of our illustrious King to
remind everyone of the very beginning. Welcome Back!

<< To clarify, the court is is place to act as an extension of the noble
aspect of yourself. This is not roleplaying, exactly. Be yourself, maybe
amplified a tiny bit. [Item 3, Sat, Apr 1, 1995]

Proposal 1: a continuation of the pagan tea house (of America Online Fame)
a pllace for pagans [and others] to tallk. no subjects allowed, tea served
occationally. much like synthesis, but the idea being that it is not for
discussion of religion, merely a place for us...to chat and also free synthesi
of some load by bringing more casual (enigmalike) comments here.
Proposal 2: The Court of King Fuzzy (Ph.D.) This could take ome explaining.
a small court (19) has started over a comment i once made. Now we wanto to
spreak the word. [Item 6, Wed, Jun 8, 1994]

The court started when watching a shakespeare play (Brannaugh's Henry V) when
i, big mouth in full power mode, said i could be a better king than he, so
whats the big deal? the big deal then began when a friend took me up on it.
she named me: "DrFuzzy, King of the Internet." for me, that just wouldn't do.
nor was it right for me to rule something a friend, a hacker in earnest, had
better control over. SO I wrote myself (and 17 others at the time) titles.

Enter, His Most Unclear Highness, King Fuzzy I (Ph.D)
 King of The Interrealms,
 Emperor of The Outer Stars,
 Duke of Nova Hampshira,
Holder of the Grail of Unreason,
and of the Rings of Chaos and Disruption.

The court is arranged roughly feudally, with myself, two princes, two
Counsels, six lords (of various title), four ladies, a general, four
ambassadors, an Entropic advisor, keepers of countless items of power, and,
The Shadow Queen. Many have more than one title, as was so years ago.
What we do is simple. I wish to increase my dominion, although my control
is always as i wish it- weak and incomplete. i have no wish to be overbearing,
and in some ways i hope to be respected as was the Emperor of The United
States, a great man who needed only greater recognition. i hope with the
internet i may do the same.
While we are not as yet affiliated with the SCA, we are somewhat like them
in that out court is styled after those of the past (mostly England and
rarely, the orient.) We hold court at all of out parties, title is read on
arrivalast is to be had by all.
strangely, i am often the cook. soon, we wil add a new institution or two
to the court. among them is the tournement sheduled for this summer. an
outdoor feast will accompany a mock sword, quarterstaff, and possibly more
assorted weapons tounement with
one final victor and smaller, praise only, prizes awarded in specific fields.
after, if needs be, High Court will be held to settle disputes. [Item 6, Sat,
Jun 11, 1994]>>

Play pretend is good for the soul... It's not like any of us think it's
real.

I'd be careful; Lady Anne has a vampire at her beck and call ready to defend at
a moment's notice....

Shouldn't that be Good Goddess?......
mooncat
response 18 of 32: Mark Unseen   Aug 7 22:42 UTC 1999

Well yes, but I'm not *always* overly picky... As long as my status as
a deity is recognized it's okay...

response 19 of 32: Mark Unseen   Aug 10 22:24 UTC 1999

Hey! I'm your Prime Acolyte! I'll ALWAYS recognize your status as a deity!

Elwin, don't you think you're taking this a wee little bit more3 seriously
than the rest of us? Anne and Malkavian have thier feet on the ground.. they
just look around and laugh more often than some. The idea was never that we
believe we're princes, princessess, ladies or lords, with whatever that
entails, (which isn't much these days) but that we could see the noble spirit
of a lady or a lord in our friends.. albeit a silly one. Do try and lighten
up.
