tcp/ip software Mark Unseen   Mar 22 21:44 UTC 1995

I recently got ppp and I'm looking for good software to run with it.
I have mosaic and I bought internet in a box but wasn't happy with
the boxed software. What is some good software to run?
Any help would be appreciated.

You have a windoze machine, right? I could help you if you had
a Mac, but I don't do windoze :-). You might want to try the internet
conf.

Raven , Where do you get your software? ftp? If so, what's the address. I do
run windoze but I'm sure that the ftp has dos stuff as well.

I got most of mine from mac archives, which I think is mac, archives.
umich.edu. I don't think they have much mac stuff though, and those files
are *big*, so I hope you have a fast modem. err mac.archives.umich.edu.

Use Netscape, it does just about everything: WWW, gopher, sends E-mail, reads
and posts to Usenet, an posts to Usenet, ftp, walks the dog, washes your car,
and lets you have the last piece of pizza.

It's available for personal use only from :
ftp://ftp.netscape.com

I think it has somekinda non-export due to RSA encryption tho'

AIR Mosaic can do all of that too. With the exception of walking your dog.

Now if you are running Win32, you can see GoZilla! at www.gozilla.com it has
become a little pesky though, will ask you for registration after 144 days,
but even its free as long as you want. Can resume, pause, and do lots of neat
tricks.

There are a few good apps for FTP on windowz, putty, safeTP from berkley. My
suggestion, google.com try the worlds most popular search engine!
