Current cyberpunk scene...
|
Dec 8 11:44 UTC 2005 |
Hi all!!
What do you think abount current cyberpunk scene???
I think today it's very active, but all people who work/play/live in this
scene think all elite have to know this.
But, it's a good kind of live, this?
Cyberpunks have to extend our conoscence, our "religion" to more people if
they want to continue to battle in this "digital war".
Current informatic scene are only a land for big corporation, who have idea
only to make more and more money, than to construct users happines.
Why we are lonely??
Bye

You think cyberpunk is still alive? I don't see too many people around in that
scene anymore. Where do they hang out?

Feels like it's dead. I only know one other person who is in to it. I think
more & more people are ok with being told what is right & wrong & what to know
& what isn't worth knowing nowadays.

hmmm, we can try to speak about digital freedom to other users, about because
we have only a virtual liberty... we are controlled by the majors. We can try
to speak about freenet, netsukuku or other kind of pure net.
This is only my ideas, but I want to make my ideas growly.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz I started this topic in 1994, check the date of the first post.
This is way beyond stale and we are losing badly to the NSA. Later.

What about darknet, this idea looks like a non controlable underground
network. Is this the future of upcomming cyberpunks?

hmm, maybe we will get something similar to bbs'es? It could be nice but when
you have some of them and no google, how do you find anything? I think it
might be good but only for small number of people connected, and subject that
only they are involved into (and should not be available for anyone else),
with larger network we will propably get spammed and crapped, and have a
really uncontrolable network

There hasn't been any discussion of this topic (or many of the smaller boards
on grex) in quite some time. How do we expect there to remain a cyberpunk
scene if no one speaks about it. How do we expect for the scene to exist if
everyone only talks about how it's dead?
It's just a cop out.
