Sadly, many people don't realize that there is a difference. My non-computer
illiterate friends use the terms interchangably. Personally, I think that
the media is somewhat to blame. Hackers and computer literates are probably
the only people who would care about the distinction. The media is just
interested in having a story to tell. Government and business corporations
certainly treat them as one in the same.

It is ignorance, but more I think it just is because they don't care, can you
blame them? Guess not, not before they all came on the net, now I feel all
the people on the net should know what hacking is all about, they wouldn't
be scared and there wouldn't be so many arrogant people claiming they "0wned"
you or something. YET THEY DON'T CARE, all they care about is porn and
msn-messenger and stuff that just works without understanding anything about
it. I think we are allowed to call them stupid, sure there are things somebody
knows more if than the other, but I don't USE IT! And I don't mind them!!
hope you get my point?
