The story of LSTR My computer has a problem. I have a tyan K7 mother board and a geforce 2 64mb MX graphix card.. WHenever i add a new pci card, it fails, and i have to unplug all cards, clear the CMOS, and put all the cards in, video card last, otherwise it wont work. ANy suggestions? | ||

Bad cmos battery? How does your os respond? Is it Windoze or Linux? | ||

I have both windows and linux, but neither of them are causing the problem. I had this problem even when i first built my computer. It could be a bad CMOS battery though. I think there is just some kind of conflict between my motherboard and graphix card. | ||

Is th GeForce AGP or PCI? If it is PCI then yoo have a resource conflict if it is an AGP card then check the chipset for compatability issues and a possible patch | ||
