Agenda for the April 22, 1996 board meeting Mark Unseen   Apr 15 23:43 UTC 1996

  Agenda for 4/22/96 Board Meeting

Here is the tentative agenda for the Grex board meeting Apr. 22, 1996.
Please make suggestions as to additions, changes, etc.

  1. Initial Gavel Pounding - scott < 1 minute
  2. Treasurer's Report - aruba 5 minutes
  3. 501(c)3 Committee - aruba 5 minutes
  4. Computer Rehabilitation Committee - scott 5 minutes
  5. Publicity Committee - mta 5 minutes
  6. Technical Committee - STeve 20 minutes
  7. Newsletter Report - mta 5 minutes
  10. Communications Decency Act - all 20 minutes
  11. New Business - all ???
  12. Final Gavel Pounding - scott < 1 minute

The board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Apr. 22, at 7:30 pm, location
is the Integrated Technologies Institute (ITI), in the cafeteria. The
  public is welcome.

  Directions to ITI:

Take US-23 to the Washtenaw Ave. exit (exit 37B). This puts you on Washtenaw
Ave, going West. Turn right onto Huron Parkway. This winds and twists for
quite a while. Turn right on Hubbard, then make your first possible left
into ITI (which has a hard-to-read silver sign out front). Watch out for
handicap parking spaces when you park -- there are a lot of them. Inside
ITI, go straight back to the funky toys in the lobby. Turn left, and the
cafeteria is ahead and to the left.

On Huron Parkway, if you reach Plymouth Road, you've gone too far.

Another way to ITI is to take US-23 to the Plymouth Road exit. Go West on
Plymouth Rd, to Huron Parkway. Turn left onto Huron Parkway. Hubbard comes
up pretty quickly from that side of town; turn left onto Hubbard and then
take the first possible left to get to ITI.

Not any different than last time! I also see that I need to start cleaning
out the blanks on the left margin from copying the same agenda too many months
in a row. ;)

I probably won't be able to attend this meeting, which means that the
Treasurer (aruba) will likely chair this meeting.

Should the Coop Fair Witness situation be on the agenda?

I wonder if this is a real "situation"? Are there contingency plans? Send
in a couple of carriers, I say.

I think TsTY and Nephi should be brought to the meeting bound and
gagged, so that STeve and Marcus can take turns giving them a
Singapore caning. Then to complete their punishment, they should be
sentenced by the Board to be STeve and Marcus's personal slaves for a
month. Thou shalt NOT creat lousy login screens!

Ditto: Yuck.

Another agenda item: a report from the auction committee (me and robh).
Also, do we need to do any additional followup on the results of the
plan-the-budget meeting, such as allocating funding for a UPS?

Hmm, I think I actually managed to figure out that kerouac
was joking... >8)

By the time of the Board meeting, I should have a prototype
Intro conference ready for viewing. I suppose that would count
as New Business.

response 10 of 23: Mark Unseen   Apr 16 22:59 UTC 1996

sheesh..doesnt anybody have a sense of humor? STeve and Marcus have
been at the forefront of the TS and Nephi criticism and I just had a
little fun with it. I guess humor has no place in coop *oh well*\

I know, I know. I thought that Eeew was a good enoungh comment,
apparently not. So:

   Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuugggghhh!

I think nephi would have been more than happy to come back to Ann
Arbor with me, but my guess is that would be sans caning.

i've been very glad to attend every borg meeting that did not
conflict with my scratching out a living one way or another. As the
various situations change, i'll be real happy to drop on in again.

I remember a couple of borg meetings wehre i could just afford to
cruise through to drop someting off, or pick something up, adn get
back to work. sorry about that. and with the present borg schedule
which accomodates just about everyone except me, i would hesitate
to even run for a position - couldn't attend even if elected.

The schedule is a problem this year. We tried for a week of heavy email to
come up with a better night, and couldn't.

TS, are you busy all evenings, or just specific ones?

response 22 of 23: Mark Unseen   Apr 23 15:39 UTC 1996

I'll just throw into the ring now that the fourth Monday of next
month happens to be Memorial Day, in case people have plans for
that weekend, we should probably discuss the date of the next
meeting NOW.

response 23 of 23: Mark Unseen   Apr 24 00:31 UTC 1996

what? you didn't set it at the meeting last night? for shame! ;)
