Ameritrade seemed to be the most knowledgeable and competent. We set up Will Fry with them but he has not gotten around to mailing in a check yet. They may also be the cheapest.

I use the brokerage owned by my employer. It's a discount brokerage. I think I get to trade for free, as an employee, but I don't remember, since I don't typically buy individual stocks. The only stock I own right now is my company.
