Dallas computering facilities for the public

I am going to assume that it would be acceptable to post a message in
regards to a public computing system.
If there is a list (other than the old nixpub) that someone could point
me to so that I can submit information, please let me know

The system is run in Dallas, Texas and is known as the SDF Public Access
UNIX system. It can be reached by 972-317-6960 or by telnet'ting to
sdf.lonestar.org

Sure, its acceptable. I think you might want to do a web-search to find a page
that indexes public access systems. I am not on via my internet connection
at the moment, so it is not so easy to check on the spot.

I wish you *could* still telnet to sdf.lonestar.org. I wish spammers
hadn't ruined that site for everyone, because it was a real gem.
(Granted, as far as I know, it's still up and running, but not by
telnet access.) That's why I finally found and joined grex... I need
some sort of public access Unix.
What happened to the Nixpub listing anyway?

Good question. Nixpub used to live at
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet/alt.bbs/Nixpub
However, that directory is now empty.
Maybe you should ask on the newsgroup (alt.bbs)
